Nobody should be alone in the world. God places us in families. He’s all about reconciliation.
Kingdom principles apply to all things, all facets of life.
Reconciled back to God and reconciled back to each other.
It’s all about increasing value.
The Kingdom never remains static. Always growing, expanding and multiplying.
Order and value is established – things increase in value. God is making the world better. He’s improving lives, multiplying blessing and creation.
The Kingdom is about expanding and enlarging. Value being added to what has been initiated and spread throughout creation. Not about improving self but adding value to others.
Difference between value creators and value traders. Traders try to gain leverage off others successes and enterprise.
Thinking how I can gain value from others is not a Kingdom principle/Kingdom value.
See a need and look to ways of meeting that need. Add value to others. Kingdom thinking is always outward looking. We take what we have, multiply it so that others can benefit. This is the basis of our church. The needs Jesus met are still relevant today. Jesus is the source of all value.
When you have something of value – if it is removed we understand its true value.
Take a deposit of the H/S in our lives and multiply it.
If our church were to close today, would our community miss us?
How much blessing are we multiplying around us?
What are we doing with what has been added to us?
Without value creation no organization can exist.
Most successful organizations add value to lives and communities.
Most of our energy should be applied to the process of adding value.
Have the courage to question and the discipline to listen.
Key is to look at what’s wrong and put it right.
Theme throughout the Bible – how we can add value to the community around us.
How can we multiply the Kingdom invested in us?
Creating value is always about bringing blessing.
Kingdom values (mind-set) is a priority – then all else/needs are met.
Always seek Kingdom first, do away with worry, strain over finances etc.
Life is not just about making money. Develop a Kingdom mind-set. Develop a sense of fulfilment and purpose.
Focus on self never brings contentment or peace.
River flow – healing. Develop a ‘river’ mentality.
There’s a big difference between a river and a pond.
Outflow brings healing’ life. Looking outward is a key to adding value.
Looking inward establishes the brokenness.
Cf. Sea of Galilee and the Dead sea.
Picture of feeding the 5000.
When you alter your perspective, trust and believe, you set yourself up to add value.
The stronger the relationship, the greater the value. Example, customer loyalty in business.
Leviticus 26:8 Teamwork multiplies value and strength as do strong relationships.
How do you see yourself? In church? In the community?
Issues of distrust/mistrust. These have potential to sever relationship.
Mistrust: Having been let down or betrayed therefore trust no-one.
Distrust: You let me down therefore I will not trust you!
Example: Nimrod, couldn’t trust God, attitude displayed when deciding to build a tower. No blessing comes of it.
Key: Let go and put what you have in God’s hand.
Must deal with trust issues. Put your trust in God. People aren’t perfect, they will let you down.
When trust flows, value begins to flow.
The cost of mistrust is far higher than cost of potential betrayal of trust.
Choose to trust and release potential in those around us.
We are called to add value to every situation.
